Production Companies: Shine, Ziji Productions

Kent Locations Used:Leeds Castle

Under the watchful eye of Kent’s resident Masterchef judge, Gregg Wallace, and his fellow arbitrator John Torode, 24 new celebrities will be vying for the coveted prize of Celebrity Masterchef 2009.

In the first round of the competition the contestants need to impress the judges with their own inventions made from ingredients given to them on the day. Those lucky enough to make it to the final three will be pushed to their culinary limits by creating dishes in extreme locations, conjuring lavish spreads for high profile diners and feeding the masses.

The fourth series sees celebrities such as Colin Jackson, Jayne Middlemiss, Iwan Thomas, Dennis Taylor and Sian Lloyd donning their spatulas in an attempt to be crowned Celebrity Masterchef. To increase the pressure, celebrities from past shows will also be invited to have a second chance at the coveted title!

The Celebrity Masterchef team visited Leeds Castle to complete a cooking challenge.

Leeds Castle is in Maidstone and has a mote and 500 acres of gardens. It has previously been used for productions such as The Hairy Bikers Food Tour of Britain (2009), Lady Jane (1987) and Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949).

Who will be crowned Celebrity Masterchef 2009? To find out watch the new series on BBC 1 from the 11th June 2009 at 8pm.
