Sir Alan Sugar is back and looking for his next Apprentice!
Production Company: Talkback
Kent Locations: Margate
The popular reality show is back on BBC One for its fifth series. This year 15 contestants will do battle in Sir Alan Sugar’s boardroom to become the winner of the apprenticeship with the six figure salary.
Over 12 weeks, the participants will be split in to teams and put to the test on various tasks. The losing team will then face Sir Alan and one of them will be ‘Fired’.
This year the show visited Kent to film some of the tasks, and whilst we can’t tell you what they were and how it went; we can say, watch out for Margate!
In addition, two of this year’s contestants, Lorraine Tighe and Mona Lewis, come from Kent. To see if they survive the boardroom experience tune in to The Apprentice every Wednesday night at 9pm on BBC1.
The quintessential coastal town, Margate offers a sandy beach, arcades, Dreamland amusement park, shops and restaurant plus the renowned Turner Contemporary gallery. Margate has previously featured on screen in productions such as Edge of Heaven (2014), Mary Queen of the High Street (2013) and Last Resort (2000).
The episode featuring Margate aired on 13th May 2009 at 9pm!
