Celebrity Chef Heston Blumenthal sets out to reinvent famous period and mythical feasts.
Production Company: Optomen Television
The second series of Heston’s Feasts follows celebrated chef Heston Blumenthal as he sets out on a gastronomic adventure to reinvent famous period and mythical feasts for the ultimate 21st century banquets.
In each episode, Heston explores a period of extraordinary gastronomic innovation, recreating ‘lost’ recipes, and discovering forgotten flavours and ingredients. He also travels to remote areas to source unusual foods and in this series we see him finding mushrooms in Blean Woods near Canterbury.
At over 11 square miles, Blean Woods is one of the largest areas of ancient woodland in England and sits by historic cathedral city Canterbury which has parks and open spaces, shopping areas, bars and restaurants. The Canterbury area has previously featured on screen in projects such as Rustom (2016), Terry and Mason’s Great Food Trip (2015) The Apprentice (2014).
To see the results of his culinary quests, watch the new series of Heston’s Feasts on Channel 4 from Tuesday 6th April at 9.00pm
