A trip across Britain’s culinary landscape to discover the very best of British produce and ingredients.
This series sees TV Chef Matt Tebbutt travelling across Britain to search out and celebrate the very best of British produce and ingredients.
Once the ingredients have been sourced, they are taken back to the show’s restaurant HQ, where Matt and co-presenter Penny Smith are joined by special foodie and celebrity guests, as well as food loving members of the public. They are then transformed into delicious dishes that showcase the very best of regional produce.
In this edition, Matt Tebbutt is in Kent along with chef Ching-He Huang. They will be making the most of fresh radishes, pears, chicken, brill, cheese and sparkling wine. There will be guest appearances from Janice Dickenson, Lisa Faulkner and Rav Wilding.
Kent prides itself on its Garden of England status which is said to date back to the Tudor times. Henry VIII liked the county so much, he not only built 3 castles, but established many of the orchards in Kent to provide for the King’s table. So it is only natural that Kent still holds the National Fruit & Nuts Collection at Brogdale and the image of Kentish orchards in bloom still represents The Garden of England worldwide.
