The Quadrangle Film Festival has had a successful second year with great feedback from the guests that visited over the weekend in September to partake in workshops, screenings and even watch some live music.
The intimate festival set in Shoreham in the delightful Kent countryside was launched in 2011 and aims to bring together like-minded people, passionate about documentaries, who give each other support, encouragement and inspiration to make independent, non-commercial and innovative films.
Guests included some big names in the documentary world such as Marc Issacs, filmmaker and director of the acclaimed “Lift”, Olly Lambert, who has directed films for Cutting Edge, award-winning Mohsen Makhmalbaf and many many more.
Here is some of the great feedback from those that attended:
“The Quadrangle documentary film festival is my new favourite film festival”.
Jean-Philippe Tremblay, Docfactory
“It was wonderful. Need to bottle that Quadrangle spirit and carry it around all year”
Director – BritDoc Foundation, Sandra Whipham
“The programme was terrific and I saw two really singular films I never would have seen otherwise”
The Quadrangle Film Festival was supported by the Kent Film Office, the Grierson Trust, Goldsmiths University and the Quadrangle Trust.
