Canterbury Anifest wins Destination Canterbury Award at The Culture Awards!

Massive congratulations to animation festival Anifest, which has been nominated for a Destination Canterbury Award at The Culture Awards which highlight achievements that showcase the quality and diversity of the local cultural scene in Canterbury and East Kent.

The Destination Canterbury Award is given to any organization, group or individual who has in the last year done the most to raise the profile of the areas cultural offering regionally, nationally and internationally and is judged by an independent panel of experts.

Anifest 2012 was held in Canterbury last October and offered talks, screenings and workshops from some of the biggest names in animation including Aardman Animations (Wallace and Gromit), Dream Works (Shrek, Madagascar), and Pixar (Toy Story, Finding Nemo).

The festival has been running for six years and offers people of any age a chance to experience and explore the world of animation, whether they are a budding filmmaker, an industry expert or are just looking for a day out.

Tickets cost £35 each including drinks reception, summer banquet and for groups of 10 or more there is a 10% discount on ticket prices!
