BFI Film Academy comes to Kent!

Are you a Kent based talented filmmaker aged 16-19? Then you must apply to the BFI Film Academy which is being delivered by Screen South in partnership with The Maidstone Studios and aims to help train and inspire the next generation of British filmmakers.

The academy will be a variety of courses running on the selected Saturdays and will develop your commercial and cultural knowledge and skills in the industry, focusing on a variety of careers from directing to editing, writing to production.

There will be practical filmmaking throughout the course including screenwriting, production and post-production skills as well as meeting of industry professionals, workshops and master classes from leading industry players.  You will also gain a Silver Arts Award – a nationally recognised accreditation, on completion of the course.

To be eligible for the academy, you must be aged 16-19, based in Kent and able to attend all of the dates.
