Reality show The Only Way is Essex follows the lives of a group of infamous Essex residents and returns to ITVBe with an hour long Christmas Special.

The show known as TOWIE is narrated by Denise van Outen and is now in its thirteenth series after becoming an instant hit when it first hit our screens in 2010.

The TOWIE cast including Gemma Collins, Chloe Sims, Lauren Pope, “Diags”, Tommy Mallet and Georgia Kousoulou held their luxury Christmas party at Kent’s Lympne Castle. Expect drama, surprise kisses under the mistletoe and arguments over the turkey!

Lympne Castle is an unspoiled 13th century castle in the Shepway district of Kent and boasts gardens and stunning views of the Romney Marsh. Lympne Castle has been used for a variety of photography shoots whilst the surrounding area has been featured on screen in The Honourable Woman (2014), Ginger and Rosa (2012) and Great Expectations (2011).

The Apprentice is the popular BBC series where aspiring businessmen and women battle it out for a chance to receive a £250,000 investment from renowned entrepreneur Lord Alan Sugar.

Now in its tenth series, the 20 candidates try to impress in a variety of challenges under the watchful eyes of Lord Sugar’s advisors, Karren Brady and Nick Hewer, to avoid the weekly boardroom firing.

In the fifth episode of the new series, the two teams are tasked with creating coach tours and have just 2 days to persuade people to part with their hard earned cash and take day trips to top tourist attractions outside London. One team decides to offer tours to Oxfordshire, whilst the other decides on Canterbury including a visit to Hever Castle. Which team will be victorious?

Canterbury is a historic City boasting the magnificent Canterbury Cathedral and St Augustine’s Abbey and St Martin’s Church which form a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The area also boasts the modern city, parks and open spaces as well as neighbouring quaint, traditional villages.  Previous productions that have filmed in Canterbury include Pilgrimage with Simon Reeve (2013) BBC Sport Relief John Bishop’s Week of Hell (2012) and Last Orders (2008).

Hever Castle is a thirteenth century castle which was once the childhood home of Anne Boleyn and boasts formal Italian Gardens and an ornamental lake. The location has featured in various productions including Inkheart (2008), The Other Boleyn Girl (2008) and Anne of a Thousand Days (1969).

Popular music show Later… with Jools Holland returns for a 45th series with performances from legendary musicians as well as brand new acts from around the world.

The BBC Two late night show is broadcast live on Tuesday nights with a longer show being shown on Friday nights and the first episode of the new series welcomes Alt-J, Ryan Adams, Jungle, Banks, The O’Jays and Vance Joy.

The programme first aired in 1992 and is a major hit in both the UK as well as America and various European countries.

The Maidstone Studios is an independent TV studio complex on an 11 acre site with 5 television studios, dubbing facilities, edits suits, a fully saturated lighting grid and office space. The Maidstone Studios has previously welcome shows such as Draw It! (2014), Was It Something I Said? (2013) and Got to Dance (2010).

The new series of Later… with Jools Holland will return on BBC Two at 22:00 on Tuesday 16th September 2014.

Boomers is a new BBC One comedy series following the ups and downs of a group of newly retired couples living in a seaside town in England.

After filming the pilot episode in Herne Bay in 2013, the Boomers production team once again visited Herne Bay in May 2014 to film exteriors which doubled as a fictitious Norfolk seaside town. Filming location­­s included the bandstand where they filmed an open day celebration with Morris dancers as well as Central Parade and Studd Hill.

The production also made use of the Kent Film Office’s Filming on Highways Act 2010 where they used traffic management at Central Parade to film a driving and parking sequence.

Herne Bay is located on the Kent coast and boasts a delightful beach with a bandstand and seafront gardens as well as many shops and eateries, amusement arcades, and a windmill. Previous productions which have filmed in Herne Bay include Big Bad World (2013), Got To Dance (2012) and Things I Haven’t Told You (2008).

The Great British Bake Off (2014)

The fifth series of the hit cookery show The Great British Bake Off returns with experts Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry judging 12 contestants who battle it out in the kitchen to be crowned the Great British Bake Off Best Amateur Baker. 

Presented by comic duo Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc, the new series marks a move from BBC Two to a prime-time BBC One slot and features both the oldest and youngest competitors ever featured on the show.

Mum of two and Broadstairs resident Chetna Makan is also competing to win the accolade. Chetna is a fashion designer from Mumbai who moved to the UK 10 years ago. She runs a curry club for her friends and enjoys combining her mum’s traditional recipes with British baking as well as using her creative flair in the kitchen.

The Great British Bake Off filmed in Kent with Chetna and her family in their local area where they visited Viking Bay beach in Broadstairs.

Broadstairs is a coastal town in East Kent and sandy beach, Viking Bay beach is lined with traditional beach huts, a band stand and large Victorian terraces as well as a busy high street and many food and drink establishments. The area has previously been used for filming by productions such as Bang Goes The Theory (2012), True Love (2012), and The Fixer (2008).

Channel 4’s popular show returns with a twist: in this series, couples work together to host the best dinner party for a cash prize!

Come Dine With Me started in 2005 and has proved very popular with audiences. In episode 10 of the new series, the show follows three West Kent couples, including married West End performers Millie and Andy, newlyweds Sam and Emma and dinner party fanatics Alex and Richard. Whose efforts will be judged victorious?

The production filmed the West Kent contestants in and around their homes in Kings Hill , Maidstone and Bearsted.

Maidstone lies on the River Medway and is the county town of Kent offering shopping areas and parks. It is close to many tourist attractions, such as Kent Life and Leeds Castle. Maidstone is also home to The Maidstone Studios which has hosted filming for TV productions such as Draw It (2014), Later…With Jools Holland (2013-2014) and Take Me Out (2010 – 2014).

Bearsted is a village near Maidstone and boasts shops, pubs and sports clubs in a countryside setting.

Kings Hill is a housing and business development built on an airfield site which was used in 1967 for The Beatles’ Magical Mystery Tour (1967) and more recently, the area was featured in Channel 4’s Cape Wrath (2008).

Draw It! (2014)

Draw It! is a new Channel Four game show hosted by Mel Giedroyc based on the hugely popular smart phone app Draw Something, and is filmed at Kent’s very own The Maidstone Studios.

Each show sees two teams, made up of one contestant and one celebrity, go head to head in three rounds of drawing challenges, and the contestant with the least points is eliminated at the end of the show. With a £5000 prize up for grabs, it’s all to play for in the battle of the doodlers!

Celebrities which feature in the show include radio and television broadcaster Terry Wogan, actress and presenter Nadia Sawalha, dance expert Louie Spence, comedian and actress Jenny Eclair and Strictly Come Dancing Star Anton Du Beke.

The Maidstone Studios is set over an 11 acre site and boasts 5 studios, a sound stage, post production facilities, storage and over 400 free parking spaces. Hit shows such as Take Me Out (2010-2014)Later…With Jools Holland (2013) and Was It Something I Said? (2013) have recently been recorded at The Maidstone Studios.

The late night show features  live performances from legendary musicians as well as brand new acts from around the world. The show first aired in 1992, and while being a British production, is also a major hit in America and various  European countries.  

The first episode of the new series welcomes Elbow, Neneh Cherry, Eagulls, Engelbert Humperdinck, Clean Bandit and Agnes Obel to the stage.

Gabby Roseline presents Sport Relief’s Top Dog, a fun new game show testing the talents of various dogs of all shapes and sizes in aid of Sport Relief. In every episode there are two teams, each consisting of a celebrity and their dog, a professional dog and their handler and a pet dog with their owner.

Peaches Geldof-Cohen is standing at the opposite side of a jump to her dog, crouching down slightly and signalling at him with her hand to jump over as he is running toward them. The 15-part series consists of 12 knockout rounds where each week a new team faces various fun challenges and games is filmed at The Maidstone Studios. The only way to stay in the competition is to defeat their component using only sausages to help them! Each hopeful is competing for the title of Top Dog which will be announced during Sport Relief on the 21st March.

Celebrity team captains include Sally Gunnell with Diggy the Labrador, Peaches Geldof-Cohen  with her retriever Parper, Hollyoaks actress Gemma Merna and her dog Paige, presenter Matthew Wright with his schnauzer, Wiggy and Chef Ainsley Harriot with his golden Labrador, Bobby.

The Maidstone Studios is the UK’s largest independent HD TV studio facility consisting of 5 studios, a sound stage, post production facilities, storage and over 400 free parking spaces. The studios has previously welcomed productions such as Take Me Out (2014), Later…With Jools Holland (2013)Was It Something I Said? (2013) and Got To Dance (2010).

Don’t miss the show which begins on the 3 March 2014 on BBC2 at 18:30 and will be shown at the same time, every week day, until the final on the 21 March 2014.

Edge of Heaven is a new six part ITV comedy drama series which displays life at Margate’s finest , and only, ‘80s themed B&B, run by the chaotic Taylor-Chatterjee family,  Wham!-loving Judy and her black pudding enthusiast Husband Tandeep,  and her grown up children, demobbed soldier Ann-Marie and Alfie, whose life is going badly ever since his fiancée Carly left him at the altar.

Edge of Heaven is a Hartswood Films production for ITV, and is produced by Elaine Cameron (Sherlock, Jekyll) and Paul McKenzie (Sadie J, Dani’s House). The series was written by Robert Evans (Stella), who also stars in the sitcom.

The comedy will feature Blake Harrison (The Inbetweeners), Justine Michelle Cain (Some Girls), Camille Coduri (Doctor Who), Nitin Kundra (Steel River Blues), Laura Checkley (Rosemary and Thyme), Louisa Lytton (EastEnders), Marcia Warren (Vicious) and Adrian Scarborough (Gavin and Stacey).

The production visited Margate and Broadstairs between September and October 2013 to film on location and shoot exterior scenes including the B&B which is in Albert Terrace. The interiors of the B&B were filmed at Longcross Studios.

Margate is the quintessential British seaside town, with a sandy beach, harbour, arcades, and historic architecture. The town has lots to offer, including Turner Contemporary, quirky shops, independent galleries and trendy cafes. Margate is a popular filming location, having previously welcomed productions like Mary Queen of the High Street (2013) BBC One’s drama True Love (2012), and The Apprentice (2009).

Broadstairs is in East Kent offers a sandy beach, Viking Bay lined with traditional beach huts, a band stand and large Victorian terraces as well as a busy high street and many food and drink establishments. The area has previously been used as a film locations by Eastenders (2015), Bang Goes The Theory (2012) and The Fixer (2008).
