365: A Year in the Life is a community photography project that recorded a year in the life of Canterbury, Faversham, and the Isle of Sheppey during 2011. This unique project sees residents submitting pictures on every day of the year, recording people, events and places in their local area. The project ran an exhibition during the Faversham Hop Festival and welcomed over 2000 visitors.

The final 365 Faversham photographs were chosen by a judging panel and remained a closely guarded secret until the opening. Members of the public voted for their favourite photograph out of the 365 that were on show. The winners were:

FIRST PRIZE: ‘Oyster Bay House at Low Tide’ by David Gethin, 30th January 2011

Voters’ Comments: “Love the effect of light/ sky – Very atmospheric” | “Brilliant!”

SECOND PRIZE: ‘Time Passes’ by David Gethin, 2nd October 2011

Voters’ Comments: “Beautiful Contrast of Time” | “Stunning!”

THIRD PRIZE : ‘Recycling Bank’ by Richard Drew, 23rd January 2011
