Based on the novel ‘Shopping, Seduction and Mr Selfridge’ by Lindy Woodhead about the life of charismatic American entrepreneur, Mr Selfridge returns to ITV for a third series.

The new series picks up in 1919 just after the end of World War I, where Mr Selfridge mourns the loss of his wife Rose and finds himself distracted from running his grand department store.

Mr Selfridge is played by Emmy award-winning actor Jeremy Piven (Entourage, RocknRolla, Old School) alongside a supporting cast including Katherine Kelly (Coronation Street), Aisling Loftus (The Borrowers), Ron Cook (The Diary of Anne Frank, Mrs Biggs) as well as new faces for series three, Zoë Wanamaker (My Family, Agatha Christie: Poirot), Kara Tointon (EastEnders, Last Passenger), Hannah Tointon (Hollyoaks, Walking with the Enemy), Sacha Parkinson (Hollyoaks, My Mad Fat Diary) and Leon Ockenden (Waterloo Road, Red Tails) .

The Mr Selfridge team once again returned to The Historic Dockyard in Chatham to film the exteriors of the Oxford Street store.  They also filmed at South Foreland Lighthouse in Dover, where the characters take a trip to the coast.

The Historic Dockyard Chatham lies on the River Medway and boasts a variety of Georgian and Victorian architecture, maritime environment, dry dock, cobbled streets, and industrial buildings. The Historic Dockyard Chatham is a popular film location which has previously featured in productions such as Mr Turner (2014), Call The Midwife (2012-2015) and Children of Men (2006).

South Foreland Lighthouse in Dover, is a Victorian lighthouse landmark along the White Cliffs of Dover. The White Cliffs of Dover has been featured on screen in productions such as Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows (2011) and On A Clear Day (2005).

Series three of Mr Selfridge starts on Sunday 25th January 2015 at 21:00 on ITV1.

ITV’s drama Mr Selfridge charting the fortunes of the famous store returns for a second series and is set in 1914 with Selfridges celebrating its 5th anniversary of trading amid the threat of World War 1. 

Based on the novel ‘Shopping, Seduction and Mr Selfridge’ by Lindy Woodhead,  the second series sees Sefridges preparing for challenging times with the onset of war  as well as the struggles between Harry Selfridge and his estranged wife, Rose.

Jeremy Piven (Entourage, RocknRolla, Old School) stars as Mr Selfridge, with a supporting cast including Katherine Kelly (Coronation Street), Frances O’Connor (A.I. Artificial Intelligence), Aisling Loftus (The Borrowers),  Ron Cook (The Diary of Anne Frank, Mrs Biggs), Amy Morgan (Baker Boys) and Aidan McArdle (Ella Enchanted, Jane Eyre). 

The production team returned to The Historic Dockyard in Chatham to film the exteriors of the Oxford Street store.  

The Historic Dockyard in Chatham is one of Britain’s leading maritime heritage destinations and is a popular filming location due to its varied Victorian and Georgian period architecture. It has been  used for productions such as Call the Midwife (2012-2014) Sherlock Holmes  (2009) and Sherlock Holmes – Game of Shadows (2011).
