Daytime BBC TV programme Flog It! (2002-) follows Paul Martin and his team as they value antiques submitted by members of the public and subsequently sell them on at auction.

Production for Series 17 filmed at Dover Castle as a valuations location as well as the seafront at St Margaret’s Bay and surrounding streets in February and March 2018. The historic Castle stands prominently on Dover’s famous white cliffs. It features structures from multiple periods of British history from a medieval keep to military tunnels dating from the Second World War. The Castle featured in Christopher Robin (2018) and King Lear (2018).

The new series begins on BBC One at 17:15 on Monday 18th November 2019.

Bargain Hunt – Series 51 (2018)

This long-running, popular daytime show follows two amateur collector teams at an antique fair as they try to find the best bargains, to sell on at auction.

During the latest series production visited the Kent Event Centre  in Detling during the annual Antiques, Vintage and Collectors Fair. The location, which opened in 1964, offers several halls and over 200 acres of outdoor space alongside a private woodland organisers’ disposal. The venue hosts concerts as well as large scale exhibitions, trade fairs and the Kent County Show. Bargain Hunt has previously filmed at the venue, including one of their Christmas Specials (2016).

Bargain Hunt series 51 will air on BBC One on Friday 14th September 2018 at 12.15pm.

Antiques Roadshow – Ightham Mote (2017)

The Antiques Roadshow is a popular BBC One show, presented by Fiona Bruce. The show travels across the UK and invites members of the public to bring their antiques and collectables to be examined and evaluated by experts.

Antiques Roadshow has returned to Kent for its 39th Series, visiting Ightham Mote in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Ightham Mote is a 14th century moated manor house located in Sevenoaks. The property has a long and varied history, having been owned by

medieval knights, courtiers to Henry VIII as well as high-society Victorians.

Sevenoaks is a town in West Kent with vibrant shopping streets, architectural treats and historic buildings including Knole Park which is nestled in a medieval deer-park and full of hidden treasures.  The area has welcomed filming from productions such as Rush (2013), Great British Railway Journeys  (2016) and Future Tense: The Story of H.G. Wells (2016)

The episodes will air on BBC One Sunday 7th May 2017 and Sunday 28th May 2017 at 8pm.

Antiques Roadshow (2015)

The Antiques Roadshow, presented by Fiona Bruce, is the popular BBC One show where members of the public can bring antiques and collectables to various locations across the UK where experts will examine and value the items.

Now in its 38th series, the team visited Walmer Castle in Deal, Kent in July 2015, which will be shown over two episodes.

The public came along to recount the stories behind their antiques, find out more about their pieces and marvel at the castle itself. Treasures brought in for valuation included a remarkable prisoner of war diary, a show stopping collection of ceramic grotesque birds by Martin Brothers and a late 18th-century round revolving table with a secret compartment intrigues.

Walmer Castle and Gardens is a charming Tudor castle set by the sea which boasts eight acres of magnificent gardens, woodland, and sea views. Deal has previously featured on screen in Legacy (2013), Little Dorrit (2008) and Ruby Blue (2008).

The Walmer Castle episode of Antiques Roadshow will air on Sunday 15th and 22nd November 2015 at 20:00 on BBC One.

Flog It! (2014)

Flog It! is a BBC One programme where members of the public bring their antiques to be examined and valued by a team of experts, with an option to sell at auction.

The popular show is now in its thirteenth series and in July 2014, presenter and antiques dealer Paul Martin and the Flog It! team visited Kent’s Chiddingstone Castle where experts Thomas Plant and Adam Partridge find some fascinating antiques and collectables for members of the public to take to auction. Paul also pays a visit to Chartwell, the former home of Sir Winston Churchill.

Chiddingstone Castle is a delightful historic house near Edenbridge, set in 30 acres of parkland and boasting breath-taking views of the North Downs, a rose garden, woodland and a beautiful fishing lake. Chiddingstone Castle has previously featured in Bargain Hunt (2012) and nearby one-street Tudor village Chiddingstone has been used as a film location by productions such as  A Room With A View (1986) and Elizabeth R (1971).

Chartwell is a National Trust property set in delightful gardens and was the home to Winston Churchill from 1924 until his death in 1965. The location has previously been used by feature film The Gathering Storm (2002).
