Pagalpanti (2019) is an action comedy about three men, considered as losers by the people in their lives, who plan to get rich along with their girlfriends by robbing two gangsters. The title of the film ‘Pagalpanti’ is Hindi for ‘insanity’ which accurately describes the comic theme of the film.

The film was written and directed by Anees Bazmee (Mubarakan, Welcome Back) and co-written by Shreya Dev Verma (Section 375, Poorna) as content head.

The Bollywood cast is led by Kriti Kharbanda (Karwaan, Bruce Lee: The Fighter), John Abraham (Batla House, Romeo Akbar Walter), and Ileana D’Cruz (Rustom, Mubarakan) and is supported by Anil Kapoor (Slumdog Millionaire), Arshad Warsi (Total Dhamaal), Urvashi Rautela (Kaabil), Pulkit Samrat (Jai Ho), and Saurabh Shukla (Bala).

The production filmed scenes in Faversham, where Market Street doubled as a busy London market and Guild Hall was converted into a fireworks shop. The Historic Dockyard Chatham was used for a car chase scene along Slip 5, Museum Square, Ropery Street and Anchor Wharf.

Faversham is a beautiful historic market town in the Swale Borough of Kent. The historic town boasts over 500 listed buildings. Previous productions in the town include Hetty Feather Series 3 (2017) and Walks With My Dog (2017).

The Historic Dockyard Chatham was established in the mid-16th century and is located on the River Medway. The site offers maritime, industrial, Georgian and Victorian architecture and cobbled streets, an ideal set for many film productions. Recent films that have used the Dockyard in their productions include The Aeronauts (2019) and Farming (2019).

Pagalpanti will be released in cinemas on Friday 22nd November 2019.
