Directed by Harry Sherriff (Early Days), the film stars Emily Carey (House of the Dragon, Geek Girl) as Elle, Samuel Blenkin (Mary & George (2024), Alien: Earth) as Leonard, Christine Bottomley (Back to Life (2019-2021), Strawberry Fields (2012)) as Pam, Daniel Ryan (The Bay, Mount Pleasant) as Gary, Sunil Patel (Things You Should Have Done (2024-2025), Borderline) as Khalid and Rosalind Adler (The Witchfinder, Beyond Paradise) as Viv.
The film was shot entirely in Kent. The Grand in Folkestone, a former hotel, is the film’s main location. Filming also took place on Folkestone seafront, High Street and a private house.
The Grand is an exceptional Edwardian apartment building in an unrivalled position overlooking The Leas in Folkestone, with views across the channel to France on clear days. Pistol (2022), Everyone’s Going To Die (2013) and Moon and Son (1992) also filmed at The Grand.
Folkestone is a seaside town with an elegant cliff top promenade, a coastal park, fishing harbour and Victorian clifftop lifts. Previous productions which have filmed there include Dan Hawk Psychic Detective (2024), The Serial Killer’s Wife (2023) and Who Is Erin Carter? (2023).
Misper (2026) will be screened at the Silver Screen Cinema in Folkestone on Sunday 27th September 2026.
